Marks & Spencer – NaRec, Port of Blyth
Client: Shepherd Construction (for One North East)
Sub-Contract Value: £550k

Made Ground deposits were removed from site during a subsequent site levelling exercise with varying degrees of contamination.
On completion of the excavation, the clean crushed materials were re-laid as a site capping and piling platform.
Contamination Included:
• Non-Hazardous Heavy Metals
• Hazardous Hydrocarbon impacted soil hot spots
• Asbestos Insulation-contaminated soils (under controlled conditions).
